As part of the Marketing and Communications department, I created print and web material for the wider University of Sydney and its faculties according to the University's strict brand guidelines. Work included long form guidebooks for new students, faculty guidebooks, alumni magazines, annual reports, brochures, pull-up banners, postcards, posters, outdoor media, street decals, static and animated web banners, brochures, T-shirt designs, newspaper and magazine advertisements, social media graphics, maps, icons, trade show stands and more. As part of the team I was also involved in updating the brand guidelines.
Campaign work included the University's Unlearn brand campaign, MBA campaign which included outdoor advertising at Sydney airport, Raising the Bar (expert speakers who talk on interesting topics/research in local pubs) and more.
A fun project was doing the illustrations for the Snapchat Treasure Hunt, where students would search for cute characters printed on signs posted in the ground around the campus and compete to find and post them all on the Usyd Snapchat channel.
I was also on the Disability Inclusion Action Plan committee - whose aim was to make improvements for staff and students across all areas of the university. My role was to address the accessibility of the University website and report back to the team. We worked on resolving screen reader issues, alt tags, colour contrast issue etc to make our site WCAG 2 compliant.
